YouTube Shorts Autopilot: n8n workflow that researches, scripts and uploads Shorts
Posting a Short every day is a grind. This workflow does the repetitive part: it picks a fresh topic in your niche, writes the script, creates images and narration, renders a vertical video and uploads it to YouTube as private so you can review before publishing.

What you need
- Self-hosted n8n with FFmpeg available
- YouTube account (OAuth)
- Google Gemini API key (free tier works)
Set up in about 30 min
- Get the fileDownload the .json workflow and setup guide.
- ImportIn n8n, open a new workflow and choose Import from File.
- ConnectAdd your own accounts where the sticky notes point.
- ActivateRun once to test, then publish. It keeps running on its own.
Questions
Does it work on n8n Cloud?
Rendering needs FFmpeg, which n8n Cloud does not provide. Use self-hosted n8n, or ask us to set it up for you.
Will it publish videos publicly?
No. Uploads are private by default so you can check each Short first.
Can I change the niche?
Yes. Niche, language, voice and video length are all in one settings node.
